Presenting new exclusive merchandise with an African essence and a social end

From June we will broaden our Rototom Sunsplash range to bring a part of African culture to the festival and to collaborate with cooperation projects in Senegal, Mali or Burkina Faso

We have some very special news, for our Celebrating Africa edition we will present ‘merchandise’ made especially for the festival that will represent the continents colours, cultures and history and all for a social purpose: aiding to finance programs with direct benefits for local populations in Senegal, Mali and Burkina Faso.

Dresses that base their inspiration on the richness of the African fabrics made in Ghana, Mali or Senegal. traditional shirts from the Ivory Coast, and accessories made with Batik fabrics together with backpacks, bags, wash bags and scarves are but some of the items that will broaden the range of products on offer this year at the festival and which will help build a Tailors in Dakar; improve the network of wells with drinking water, install log oven or a health centre in the Senagaleese village of Mbadatta Tall; battle against the malnutrition in País Bassari or train dozens of youths in multiple disciplines in centres such as that of Toubaba Dialaou (Senegal) or SIBY Ven (Mali).

To achieve this we will work with “valiant business projects” that have close ties to the continent such as Bissap, Yere Jeëkk or Farafina, among others, that make the products exclusively for the festival. Some of which are produced in Africa by cooperatives or training centres where women and young people can learn a trade and develop their artistic capacities. All the profits from the sale of these items will go to the organisations that work in Africa.

Keep an eye out because this exclusive range of product will be available from June in our online shop or through our shop in the venue August 12 to 19.
